The relationship between operation duration and shivering in post-spinal anaesthesia patients

Background: Giving spinal anaesthesia is an effort to relieve pain create optimal conditions for surgery operation consciously. A shivering event frequently follows the phenomenon of long duration operation. 
 Purpose: The study aimed determine relationship between and in post patients.
 Methods: design a quantitative uses cross-sectional approach. Sampling used systematic sampling technique on population patients undergoing under anaesthesia. instrument Croessley Mahajan’s observation sheet. This Spearman rank rho as statistical test with significant value p=0.05. Results: showed almost respondents, many 86.15 respondents (56 patients) experienced shivering. Based test, p-value 0.046.
 Conclusions: It can be concluded that there was incidence Therefore, reduce occurrence shivering, it necessary take measures such giving warm blankets, fluids, tools maintain body temperature (force air warming).
